Welcome to morobinbarrystories.com. Please join me on twitter @morobinbarry. This site is for Bee Gee fans everywhere who would like to share and read stories of fun, joy, love and inspiration for Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. (Andy is not forgotten and is included at times.) If you’d like to share a story, please email it to me at morobinbarrystories@gmail.com. Stories will be posted often, and some will appear in my book. At times, I will write about Gibb events that I hope the fans will enjoy.

Mike Gibb at High Rollers Night
It’s that time of year again, when the celebration begins for two of the Gibb boys. Linda Gibb gave birth to two of her sons on the same day of the calendar, December 1. Steve was born 11 years before Mike; but how ironic is it that of the 365 days of the year, they were given life on this one day?

I always like to look up the Zodiac sign and see if I agree with what it says about a person born under that sign. In this case, it’s the 9th sign, Sagittarius. I wasn’t surprised to find that some of the personality traits are the following: idealistic, imaginative and full of aspiration.
Although Mike and Steve are dramatically different people, these traits fit both of them.

Sagittarius people love to travel, and they tend to be extroverts and daring. Ditto for both brothers!

Show business is full of people born under this sign because they are so outgoing and one of their life pursuits is to “live the good life”. Steve has been a musician since he could walk. Mike has dabbled in acting. So far, the profile fits.

On the flip side, this sign tends to be a bit dangerous at times, since frequent burnouts are possible. The element is FIRE. Yes, I think Steve and Mike have traveled this road as well. However, because Sagittarius men are optimists, they can survive the difficult challenges and recover from the “scrapes and bruises of life”.
In the past five years, I have been able to observe them and sometimes chat with them, and they are friendly and patient and attentive. I think they both have strong egos, but it doesn’t get in the way of their interactions with fans and their “fun side”. I think a sense of humor makes them special, and I know that laughing at life and enjoying the little moments is something Barry and Linda have emphasized in recent years.

Sagittarius men “learn in an out-of-the-box kind of way”, according to experts who have written books about this sort of thing. I’m not sure how to interpret this statement, except to say that I think both of these Gibb men are definitely “out-of-the-box” when it comes to their outlooks and experiences in life. They didn’t grow up like most kids, unless jumping on a trampoline with Michael Jackson is normal. They were exposed to events and circumstances and adventures that most of us only dream about. What comes with that, though, is often being scrutinized and in the public eye, whether that attention is warranted or not. It’s not always easy, but Mike and Steve are about as normal as two men can be who grew up in the shadow of The Bee Gees.

No matter what the future holds for either of these men, the fact remains that they are Gibbs, and those amazingly appealing genes don’t lie. They have lived dynamic lives so far, and I hope they have many more decades of success and love to come. Many blessings, Mike and Steve. I wish both of you a happy, peaceful, rewarding birthday.
Happy birthday to Steven Gibb I hope you have best birthday the best friend Melissa
Nice comments about Steve and Mike. I have met and talked with Steve who seems really down to earth. Mike is very handsome and seems to be trying to find out what he should be doing in life. They both have beautiful families!
