(Andy is not forgotten and is included at times). If you’d like to share a story, please email it to me at morobinbarrystories@gmail.com. Many stories will be saved for the appendix of my book, which is getting edited over and over again! At times I will write about Gibb events, which I hope the fans will enjoy.

I am beyond thrilled to hear from young music lovers who play the Bee Gees and appreciate the music. Enjoy this story from a smart girl from Texas!

Baylee—Texas

HI, my name is Baylee. I’m 21 years-old and from Texas. I came across your site on Twitter and reading all of the stories shared on your website inspired me to share mine.

Basically I was raised on the Bee Gees. When I was practically a baby, my Mom played them and from the first time I listened to them, I was instantly hooked and I just wanted to keep listening to them.

By the time I was 18 months old, I knew how to control the stereo; and because of that, I kept the Bee Gees on a constant loop and my fondest memory of me being little is me dancing to songs like “More Than a Woman”. It’s possibly my Mom’s favorite story and my cousin’s favorite story of me to tell. I became known as the “old soul” of my family.

I’ll never forget when I heard the news of Robin passing away. I found out through my mother on Facebook’ and after hear the news, I was upset for awhile. It was the first time I had ever felt the loss of an artist I loved so dearly and 9 days after his passing, I turned 15, and even on my birthday, I still felt sorrow over the loss of him.

Here I am now, 21, and my love for the Bee Gees is still as strong as ever, and I know it always will be that way. The were my first favorite band, and they’ll always be one of my favorites. In fact, I believe that they’re the reason as to why I’m so passionate about music and also why I want to turn my passion into a writing career.
