My Mission

I have been a Bee Gees lover for decades and always wondered if other people felt the way I did about “the boys”. They inspired me with their musical poetry, and I was in my own little Bee Gees world for years. I would talk to other fans and hear great stories of the power of the music and its influence and decided to write the stories down with the intention of writing a book one day. I started documenting stories in 1999 in my little composition books and was amazed at what people had to say. I was stopped in my tracks when Maurice passed away. I was devastated and did not have the heart to continue. Then I picked up the project again in 2006 for a short time, but it was still difficult. I added a few stories to my books here and there but did not begin again in earnest until summer of 2012.  After Robin passed away, I knew it was time to honor all three brothers, and the time had come for me to get on with the work.  I know that there are fans who would like to tell their personal stories, and I have been categorizing what I have and would like to add to the list and share them with the fans around the world. I plan to continue writing my book  and posting these memorable tales on the blog. Some are serious, some are crazy, some are sad and some are sexy, and all are great to read. In the book, the stories will appear at the end of the book,  fictional story which is about a young girl growing up with the Bee Gees from 1967-1993. God willing one day I will have some proceeds to donate to any charity Barry chooses (hopefully with input from Yvonne Gibb in honor of Maurice) and Rebecca House (for Robin)….wouldn’t that be “Too Much Heaven”?

Please write to me with your personal Bee Gees story at morobinbarrystories@gmail.com

Any story received may be posted on the blog and edited for spacing purposes.

I don’t have a personal story other than their music and inspiration got me through a horrible divorce. Love the Brothers Gibb!

Hi Anne! What a nice website…it’s great to read these stories…I believe you said you were collecting Andy stories too…would be nice to read them one day…I don’t see them on here though? Maybe I couldn’t find them? Gibb Hugs to You!!!

    • Hi Cynthia,
Thanks so much for reading the blog. It is a true labor of love that brings me to tears of joy every day. If you click on the archives from March, you will see some Andy stories that I posted in honor of his birthday. He is not actively included because he was not a Bee Gee, but I will happily post any great Andy story. He is a part of my book.

Hi Anne – this collection of stories is just wonderful!! I look forward to reading your novel one day, and I suspect that I and many other fans will identify with your character 🙂 Keep on doing what you’re doing.

    • HI Rebecca,
Thanks for the wonderful message. Over the years I have collected some great stories, all because of these great men. Andy is also included—March is his month in honor of his birthday (in case you are an Andy fan as well). Enjoy them.
